Initial Assessment

The Initial assessment is a one time appointment that is scheduled for 90 minutes. Parents will meet with the therapist without their child present and discuss presenting problems, family and personal history, and therapy goals. The therapist can also answer any questions the parent may have about the therapy as they begin. This visit is designed to allow the therapist to begin to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and strategy to help you and your child. This visit can be conducted in office or through telehealth.

Initial Assessment Fee per session: $200

Play Therapy

Play Therapy sessions are between 45-55 minutes. Your child will meet with the therapist in the playroom where the therapist uses specific skills to support your child in self-expression, developing coping skills, and working through difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Typically, the child meets with the therapist alone and if parents need to check-in with the therapist they do so away from the listening ears of the child. Longer parent-therapist discussions are better suited to occur while the child is not present at the appointment and are encouraged to be scheduled regularly throughout the therapy process. All play therapy sessions have to occur in person in our office's play therapy room.

Play Therapy Fee per session: $180

Individual, Family Therapy, and Parent-only Sessions

Individual sessions with teens and tweens, parent-only sessions, and family therapy sessions typically last between 45-55 minutes. We use talk, activities, and education to work towards therapy goals in these sessions. These appointments can typically be done via telehealth or in office, however, there are times when telehealth is less effective with children and teens and will have to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Individual, Parent-only, or Family therapy fee per session: $180

Child Parent Relationship Therapy

CPRT sessions are completed in 55 minute visits over the course of 10 sessions. Sessions consist of learning new skills towards the goal of being able to conduct special play sessions at home with your child, similar to what a child does in play therapy with a trained play therapist. From sessions 4-10 parents are expected to conduct and record play sessions at home with their child so the therapist can provide encouragement and feedback. Depending on parents needs and goals, we can also adapt this to allow parent-child play sessions in our play therapy room with the therapist providing feedback.

CPRT fee per session: $180
